i’m thinking of buying some rough mined stones off of ebay and i want to clean them for some jewelry projects. I don’t want to tumble them into round pieces. Does anyone know how to clean/sand/cut/drill stones in a diy manor? thanks!

How much material do you want to remove? You can clean them with a soft wire brush. For any of the other steps I recommend a Dremel tool with carbide bits. They’re expensive but you get good results. Remember to keep the bits wet, if you don’t, they’ll burn up and be useless.
