I would agree with the other review by ‘HappyCat’. This was easy to install, and fortunately I had the crescent wrenches that are necessary to do the install. I did the installation from under the sink without removing the sink or even the sink disposal. The base plate came with a foam pad that goes around the edge underneath, but I used some plumber’s putty anyway to give it a water-seal just in case.

I read a few other reviews for Chinese made sink faucets that I liked, but I decided to go with this Delta faucet as it appears to me that the Delta brand is a high-quality brand that has been in business for many years. I also have some Delta showerheads in my showers which work great. It remains to be seen if this will leak or not, but it does come with instructions for maintenance in case it does leak.

Its look and appearance is sleek and I love it. The soap dispenser is a nice add-on that keeps your sink less-cluttered. Much better than the old faucet that was in place from the previous owner of my house when I bought it recently.

I purchased this faucet through Amazon despite the small number of positive/total reviews located here. I am very glad I did. The faucet arrived promptly with all parts and Delta’s detailed installation instructions. This was my first faucet installation, and after the nightmare I went through to get the old faucet out, I was concerned that my replacement project was only halfway done when the old one finally came out. Instead, the new faucet went in without a hitch in about 30 minutes. While the hot and cold water supply lines on the unit are quite long, I did not have trouble manipulating the somewhat stiff plastic lines into loops under my congested sink area – thereby avoiding the potential pitfall of trying to cut them. Both lines sealed perfectly after a little additional tightening.

I am pleased with the quality of the faucet and its components given its reasonable price. The pull-out sprayer works well, with two (normal/spread) settings. The soap dispenser was not a major selling point for me other than filling the 4th hole from the old unit, however it seems to work fine and allows refilling from the top of the sink. Of course, long-term reliability is an unknown after only a few days, however, the majority of reviews I have read indicate Delta faucets are at least better-than-most.

I bought this faucet to replace an off-brand model installed by the previous homeowner. When it comes to plumbing, my goal is simple. I want to mess with it more than absolutely necessary and I don’t want any catastrophic leaks down the road because of incorrect installation or cheap parts.

The technology behind faucet installation has improved in the last 10-20 years and this faucet had surprisingly few parts. I used a small crescent wrench to connect to the water supply and a phillips screwdriver to tighten the faucet base to the sink. No other tools.

The faucet base has the water lines already attached to it. No real assembly of the base, just slide it through the sink holes. A hose needs to be threaded through the faucet base and attached to the wand, a connection that is tightened by hand. This hose slides onto a water line connected to the base. No tools needed for that.

The water lines have the fittings already attached to connect to your water supply; you simply tighten the nuts by hand, tighten one turn with a small crescent wrench.

The only problem that I had was that the “flexible” water lines aren’t flexible like a water hose. They are stiff plastic. I don’t know, maybe having the flexibility of uncooked spaghetti. These lines are a fixed length and the Delta manual says the installer is responsible for a leak-free joint if you cut the lines to resize them. (Gasp!) In addition, the manual says you should not bend the line tighter than 8″ in diameter. So… I finally looped the lines, dodging the garbage disposer, drain lines, supply lines, etc., so that they look like metropolitan-area freeway interchanges. But they are attached.

Overall, I am thrilled with the look, and the water pressure is better than it was with the old faucet. I’d buy this faucet again, but I think there is room for improvement with water line flexibility. It was truly the only part of the installation that couldn’t be done by “anyone in the house”.

I bought this faucet at a local home improvement store. Instructions were not easy to follow, and I have installed many faucets. The instructions started out for the single post faucet, then made a sudden jump to using the base plate, without explanation that you need to do some of the single post procedures with the base plate installation. 6 parts were missing from the package. I called the delta toll free number, and they refused to help. Actually the representive was very rude, belittled the largest big box home improvement chain in the USA, and told me they were not responsible for missing parts. I returned it to the store with no problems, and have now moved to buying a Kohler, as Delta obviously will not help with problems their product! I was also very nervous about how the pull out faucet fastened to the main water supply via a plastic clip. Looked like a source of significant potential problems. I would love to play a reording of my discussion with Delta customer service for the purchasing agent for the big box home improvement chain. Delta might lose 1/2 of their business.
